The first annual F.L.U.T.E. Project Competition is designed to give Flutissimo participants an opportunity to share their unique passions and endeavors with their fellow Flutissimo participants.

The title of the competition, Future Leadership in Unique Topics or Endeavors, encourages flutists to share their unique ideas, other areas of expertise, or future entrepreneurial endeavors with others to give their projects life, provide an outlet for experimentation, and to inspire others to develop their careers in similar ways.

The competition seeks proposals that add to flute performance or career development in a unique way.  Examples of proposals include, but are not limited to, those covering Alexander Technique, yoga, technology, outreach projects, grant writing, online presence, studio building, orchestral audition logistics, concert promotion, entrepreneurship, education, multi-genre collaboration, etc.  Winners’ projects will demonstrate creativity and have value to Flutissimo participants.

The two winning lectures, workshops, or presentations will have one hour to present during Flutissimo.  The winners will each receive a $200 award.

How to enter:

Entrants should submit a 250 word description of their proposed lecture, workshop, or presentation.  Multimedia files are also suggested to display the full range of the presentation.  Video files, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, or informational graphics are encouraged.

Submit a link to your proposal materials (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) in the workshop application where indicated

Proposals are due by April 30, 2019.  Winners will be notified no later than May 27, 2019.
